As Low Eco mentioned, I found the Make It Handle Thread, read the entire thing and then started researching around in the Suspension Forum for a long time
So next to come was the rear suspension With everything stripped out of the rear frame for the axle rebuild I went ahead and flipped my stock trailing arm brackets to raise the pivot point of the arm and have it act more like factory geometry etc.. Now because I went with two different brands/suppliers on the rear suspension I did hit a snag with the installation but was able to find a solution:

Heres a shot of the suspension mocked up with the 4" Springs and 2" blocks
And then a shot with the bed just resting on the frame From here I decided to go with a 6" drop spring and I had to machine my drop blocks to match the pinion angle so they lost alittle height

For the rear brakes I initially planned to go with CaptainFabs D52 brackets with the Astro Van rotors and Caddi calipers so that I could still have an e-brake. But after lots of searching and junkyard calling I was coming up short on the parts I needed for the caddi e-brake
So I came across the D154 e-brake kit from Wilwood and since they matched the D52 style front caliper and had an internal e-brake I went that route Using the Wilwood/Lokar ebrake cable kit with them hooked to the factory under the dash ebrake lever I've been extremely happy with them and if you read reviews about them not holding well as an ebrake it is because that owner did not properly adjust them. There is a adjustment wheel on the inside of the bracket on each side you must set the internal brake shoes with. Since doing this mine have worked great

For a rear swaybar I went with the Hotchkis Double Blade Style Adjustable Sway Bar and it worked out well with all my other components

I have the same truck. I am rebuilding it from the frame up. I have been working on my truck for about 9 months. I pulled the worn out in line six out and installed a 350 4 bolt.with a auto transmission. Stay with your orginals thoughts. If you are in dought, then investigate what you are doing first and then do the job. I can tell you about that. I have done some things two and three times to get it right. Unbolted everything from the front end, then spent the time de-greasing, wire wheeling, rust converter and some chassis black to clean everything up to match the rear

With everything re-assembled you can see how it all comes together including the shock relocators.
I had no issues with anything during assembly and the control arms from Nate are top notch with the flexibility to run bags one day if wanted

Also on a side note: I also replaced the Lower Control Arm U-bolts
NAPA Part # 650-4065 http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...065_0373628926 I did have to drill the factory holes out alittle to have them fit due to the larger diameter but it was fairly simple task
