News Flash..... Just had a guy call from about 40 miles away and he is driving over to buy those beautiful wheels we took off the truck. Craigslist is the stuff... Oh yeah, project for the week is underhood clean up and detail a little better..

OK, so much for big plans. All we have gotten done is parts cleaned, engine bay washed a few times and all hoses removed. Used the oven (wife was at work) and some VHT hi heat aluminum on the intake. had some spare parts for the Edelbrock carb. They look better if nothing else.

Re: project "Cheap Bastard" 70 short wide..

OK, finally got more spare time. was going to try to clean engine, swap intake and carb and paint motor with it in the truck. Forget that, decided it was easier to make a hole.

Re: project "Cheap Bastard" 70 short wide..

Ok guys,, here it is. Bought this three days after we sold the other truck. Much better shape, and did i mention, 454 big block. I love the chrome reverse look, just cant deal with chrome plated wheels and the constant rust battle. Bought some rallys Sunday.

Re: project "Cheap Bastard" 70 short wide..

OK guys. Here is the underhood we have to start with. I have a good friend that will help out with the wiring details, and another that will fill that curious hole in the firewall. A couple of evenings and maybe next weekend and it will be a lot better looking. Did you notice the screen door return spring?? I have to get rid of that first thing.

Man, do i have a great wife or what?? She never quizes me about the truck of the month in her driveway and has even been known to help me on some of the projects. Here she is today helping me get the rallye wheels ready to paint. Thanks Donna, you are great.

Thanks for the words of encouragment. We have been two days trying to find a key for the goofy lug nuts.. The time for talk is over, they are coming off tonight, one way or another.

Re: project "Cheap Bastard" 70 short wide..

My good friend Matt came by and gave the truck a haircut. He was cussing and cutting. You wouldn't beleive all the junk wires he pulled off. He is doing relays and rerouting all the wiring. I have the best help..
