Re: WTB 450-600 horse LOW MILES big block Motor

The motor is being installed as this is written. The motor is every bit as premium and low miles as advertised.
I just got an email that the money [paid in full] was received yesterday.
We both won on this transaction!
I will post some pics and a video in about a month after all the other work is done on the truck.
I had some other work done on the motor and the speed shop that did that work said it would dyno out at between 585 and 600 horsepower.
Thanks for my new engine and thanks for your trust, Adrian!

Re: WTB 450-600 horse LOW MILES big block Motor

I bought a '69 Chevy C10 from Pan_Head on this site while I was in Afghanistan last year. I had complete faith the truck was well represented and Tom made the whole process very easy. When I actually got to see the truck a month or so later, it was in better condition than he described and I was very pleased. He actually took the truck off the market after I sent him a small deposit and didn't want any more money until I inspected and verified the condition of the truck.

This site has many great members and transactions like this can be easy when people work with each other.

Re: WTB 450-600 horse LOW MILES big block Motor

Got the truck back today, lots of tuning still to do but good to have it home.
The new motor is built now to 585-600 horses and they LOVE to run!
Traction bars are next on the list- the 308 posi wants to roll right under the frame.
Smooth as butter, this engine is still new and runs and sounds just great, glad now that I installed the 2500 RPM stall converter a couple years ago, just hard to get the tires to stick
I drove about 50 miles today and burned half a tank of premium. The compression is 9.994 to 1.
Don't care, I still love my old truck
Just an aside, my mechanic recommended a smaller, higher torque starter- this thing starts like a jet engine now and no problems with a hot starter from the headers.
Still planning a video after the final tuning and some pics of the new engine.

Adrian, once more, THANK YOU!!
