Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar

so i got an idea.

what about making the sway bar mount to the LCA inboard of the coilover.

Then the arms wouldn't have to be bent much at all.

How do you heat treat them? Curious on the process.

Also never got an answer on roll center height on this kit. TIA

Dustin, Just like we use to do at Ridetech. The bar's effectivenes is increased as the link mounting point is positioned closer to the lower ball joint...

Our sway-bars we make and our heat treating process we
heat treat them up to 1700 degrees in a furnace then they
go into a nice oil-bath that is in a huge tub that is filled with
non det oil.Never have had a problem with one failing.

For our roll center which is all differnt on our differnt ifs units we build.
Also on what size tire dia we are using. But on this coil-over set up above
we keep it around 3 inches above ground we have found this out to be
a very happy med set up.

You should get one for your truck and you can do all the testing on one as well.We will give you a great deal on one.

Thanks for answers to my questions. Still doing research not ready to buy yet. Gathering information and studyin and learning lots of kits out there to compare. I would rather the manufacture do the product testing before spending money. Thanks for all the answers.

Well, actually if you want to consider the lower arm and the sway bar end links rigid members(which your doing) the only thing that matters is the length of the bar, not where its mounted. Leverage is completely canceled out.

Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar

but let me add, that was just an idea. I see nothing wrong with what you guys have going on. I dig it. Especially since you can get other bars in there to make it %100 tunable.

Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar

Will you be doing any of the autocross events with this crossmember? Seems there is a lot of buzz right now about making the trucks perform. Seems with guys like rob nate and hotchkis doing more performance based systems and upgrades this could be fun to watch.
