Re: aka "Bubba"
Time to blow it apart again and get it on the dolly for finish welding and filling holes and get the frame off for powder and paint.
Time for a beer break with the hired help too. Last edited by Dynomutt; 02-12-2011 at 03:22 AM. |

Think I'll leave you here for the night, time for bed. I think the beer made me sleepy.

Re: aka "Bubba"
I forgot to mention that about the time the engine was complete we made some adjustments to the build plan and decided to go a little farther than originally planned. Everything on the chassis would now get powder coated, the driveline would all be powder and paint, smooth the firewall, forward tilt the hood, vintage air, new wiring throughout, all new upholstery, wood bed, etc, etc. Needless to say, that extended our plan to do it in a year and thinned the wallet considerably. Now we're deep into this thing and pushing for August or so. A lot of that will depend on the painter and we all know how that goes.

Re: aka "Bubba"
Got the motor back from paint, assembled and installed. Then the truck just sat from about Thanksgiving until the end of January. Just too busy to do anything with it. I did get a few more parts ordered though.

Re: aka "Bubba"
Marq,
You've got quite a build going! I look forward to seeing it come together. May I ask what headers you used?

Re: aka "Bubba"
Worked on the cab for a couple of hours today but forgot to take my camera so no pics today. Not a whole lot to see anyway. Finished welding in the cab corners and tacked the inner and outer rockers together on the bottom side. Welded up a few other misc holes too. Need to get some sheet metal now to fill in some more of the larger firewall holes. Hope to get that tomorrow.
