OK. Maybe I'm in left field and I'm missing something but.
How could you shorten a 105"+- blazer chassis to replace a 114" pickup chassis???? That also dosen't look like the rear of the 84 4x4 chassis I looked at. Are the rears of the 73-87 2wd & 4wd chassis the same? Are your sure its not a Burb chassis that was shortened? Or they could have cut 2 seperate blazer chassis and made it longer? Have you bought any parts for it yet and if so were they interchangeable with blazer/burb/pickup? The rear spring looks like its in the factory location. Ponderous! |

To be honest DennyB, I have no clue :p. This is how the frame was when I bought the truck. All we did was changed the body, and got some new cab mounts made, using the ones from before. It could very well be a Burb, I am not sure, we were told from it was a Blazer a 76 or 77. I am also not sure if the a$$ends are the same from 4wd to 2wd. I wish I knew more but I dont. I could take some measurements if you want, just tell me where to stick the tape measure.
BTW thanks dubie, the truck will be alot nicer in 2 weeks, i will post some pics of the process. Lucky

Lucky,
Thanks for answering all these questions. I'm pursuing the same topic and you've been very useful. Would you mind taking a measurement of your final wheelbase on your truck. Both sides, from center of hub to center of hub. This way we can tell if they altered the bed to make it fit and whether our data is correct regarding the factory wheelbase. BTW...The truck looks great. Starting to fall in love with these models. Goose |

BlueGoose, I'll see what I can do. I have been very busy working on the truck. Which is awesome, unfortunately today we got snow here... so not much work getting done today. Good news the truck doesnt look as it did in the pictures, it is all one color now...PRIMER, yippie. Anyways... yeah I will see what I can do, sometime during the week I will be able to get some measurements for you guys. If that is alright...? I am looking through the previous posts and the 55-59 WB is 114" and the 73-87 WB is 117", would my mounts make up for the remaining inches?
Lucky
