Re: My '67 "Green Bean
Subscribed, my advice being as you got it free would be to send it to me and i'll pay shipping! and a finders fee... OK so that won't work.... Nice truck, congradulations!
I think 2" exhaust would be fine, most exhaust shops can help ya decide too.. Heads reworked? Head not heads.. Not a good idea unless your doing a full rebuild, a fresh head and an old bottom end will only accelerate ring wear..

Re: My '67 "Green Bean
OK,I got ya, still don't give the head a full rebuild unless absolutly nessasasy. also remember that the valves should not be mixed up if ya pull a couple out so keep track of what valve goes into what guide.
Prepare to pull the head, get a repair manual for that engine and read about the head removal/reassembly and bolt torque sequence and follow it if ya deem it nessasary to pull the head. Then drain all the coolant, remove all the rockers and push rods, at a minimum you really don't want to reuse the lifters or rockers ether as they could be worn and then you just transfer the wear to the new pushrods. Pull the head and buy a valve spring compresor, remove the valve springs on the stuck valves and try to tap them out with a hammer handle or rubber mallett, again do not mix up the valve from its guide, just remember that any part that is metal to metal are wear parts and all parts wear differently so should not be mixed up. figure out if you can free them up or if the head will have to have new valve guides installed by a machine shop.. Good luck, i'm still jelious! ![]()

Re: My '67 "Green Bean
this is the last small window truck to be on a light duty pickup the small windows were on the meduim and heavy duty all the way into the 80's so that has some significance at least to me...plus les sun can come through the window, maybe more stronger in a crash....

I see you are using the most important tool in the toolbox, your hammer!

Re: My '67 "Green Bean
Are those valves that are stuck harder to move with the hammer than the others? Do the rockers move when you crank it?
