Re: Attention All Air Baggers..

Tony and I were just speaking from personal experience since Jeremy, Tony and I were in warranty and would see them pop up it seemed after 2 or 3 years. Just some thing to keep any eye on. I know I'm no longer at air ride but we always like to pre warn a customer so they know exactely what they may or may not know what to expect.. I would in no way tell some one they will never have an issue you because they eventually down the road will wear and leak

Its just a manual setup from Master Image Customs. About 7 or 8 years ago it was a great setup and popular. With the cost of the electric valves, its pretty much obsolete and MIC has switched hands a few times and from what I've heard from friends that had the setup, they have had more and more issues. I've got one of their early 1/4" setups, its worked great for the last 7 years with no issues as of yet. The setup is now on a shelf though, way too slow and drains right into the cab so is loud as heck. They were a neat product back in their time.

These manual/paddle valve set-ups work well for 'limited ajustment' (old) guys .

Re: Attention All Air Baggers..

So let me get this right.... I can run these paddle valves, control all four bags separately, not run any valves or solenoids, it just runs a little slower?

Do I have to run 1/4 in line throughout the system or can I tap into 3/8 line? Any diagrams on how this set up is ran with 2 comprs and a 5gal?

I'm not an old guy, but I don't need my truck to hop or show off to anyone...

Yes. You can transition to 3/8 line but you will always be restricted by the 1/4" valves, although you would benefit some by running 3/8s up to the tee behind the valves.

yes, if your already plumbed for 3/8", we can supply a PTC reducer from 3/8" to 1/4" line. You run one line from each bag to the back of the panel and two lines from the tank to supply air to the panel. You can also run one line from the tank and tee it near the panel to supply the two lines needed to feed each pair of paddles.

The standard e3 comes with 1/4" line but it will be quicker then a 1/4" paddle due to a larger orfice in the Ridetech valve. You can also upgrade the E3 to larger line for additional speed.

The E-3 is the control unit it self, it comes both 1/4" (4000 and 4100 version)and 3/8" (4700 and 4800 version) when I left ART we were redesigning the big reds and wont be available until the end of march begining of april of this year... If you would like some pricing we have killer specials on Ridetech products right now...

Everyone w/the newer electronics mention this is the 'prehistoric' method of 'air mgt'. I'm laughed @ when I mention using a system like this (usually from guys that have close to 2K tied up in their air mgt control systems). I've used this manual set-up very successfully & will continue to do so because of the cost difference as well as ease of maintenance.

I like running 1 supply line into the interior & 'T-ing' off of it as it's easier than plumbing multiple fill lines. The discharge to each corner is a must for 4-corner control (for a total of 5x .250" lines that have to be routed through the sheet metal/floor).

Re: Attention All Air Baggers..

It would be nice if this setup was 3/8 line size. I have run 1/4 on bags before and its fine.

As I will call and pitch my b*tch about the absence of print instructions but to be safe did you open the envelope that says do not open? if not there in there and if you didnt get the envelope heres alink to the instructions. scroll down to the bottom and download them

Re: Attention All Air Baggers..

I m using the paddel valves with no problems. Other guys I know using 1/2" lines are allways flipping the switches to get to their ride hight, too high, too low, ah just right. All I need to do is hold the switch till I see my guage hit the right number and I'm done. Mine is set up with a mainfold supplied by a 1/2" line from the tank that splits into 2, 1/4 lines feeding the switches. Then 1/4" lines from the switches go back to the mainfold. Going to the bags from the mainfold are 3/8" lines. The system I would like to use runs around $1,500, that money can be used elsewere for now. The paddle valves may be slower but in my opinon are more user freindly.
