Re: 1967 Short Step

That welding lead looks like it's seen better days. What welding rod are you using? The panhard is going to stick far off the axle with those coils there. Have you thought about a rear mount gas tank for better traction?

Re: 1967 Short Step

Well I havnt updated in a long time, I ended up burning up the clutches so the tranny came out, I just threw a temp trans in there. Then I picked up a 1994 v6 camaro and I put the 408 in it, it took a lot of fabbing but made it work. It was a clean well built car but I didn't like it so I traded it for a 1972 k10. So I'm driving the 72 and the 67 is sitting there on hold
I think I might pull the 383 out of the 72 and put it in the 67. I'm not sure yet.

Re: 1967 Short Step

well a little update, i pulled the engine out of the 4x4 and traded the rolling chassis for a running and driving 1996 gt mustang, pi swapped 4.6 with longtubes, offroad h-pipe, flowmaster super 44s, cold air, tuned, egr delete, tubular rear control arms and its lowered, and i have the engine sold from the 4x4, its going in a mustang fox body.
ill try to get some pics up soon

Stay yellow, it isn't to common just add in some white or black, I think the white would make the yellow pop. More hp is always better, as cubic inchs are. Is that Tim Allen.

Re: 1967 Short Step

well i found an lt1/t56 for 1000 bucks, b&m ripper shifter xtd stage 3 clutch and hooker super comp headers, complete engine harness and pedals, it also has a VATS bypass module. so once again i have changed my mind, out with the ford and in with the chevy,
i just ordered a 16 gallon fuel cell and high pressure pump, and will soon be ordering a cc306 cam, mini spool, 410 gears, and a megasquirt 2 setup

Re: 1967 Short Step

Well I drove and after 4 days of driving it rained so the opti went out(probably a month ago) replaced that and on the first drive with the new opti my clutch master cylinder went out. I just picked up a cc306 cam,1.6 roller rockers, .600 lift springs, and gaskets, got it all in. Now I just need to finish everything up and get it tuned

Re: 1967 Short Step

Well it's been a while and quite a bit has changed. I pulled the lt1/t56 out and put it in a fox body, sold the fox and bought a r6. I finally came across an engine and trans for old yeller. Th350/ zz4 has a comp thumpr hydraulic roller, l98 aluminum heads, and a 71 lt1 intake. Got a steal on both, 600 for the engine and 100 for the trans. I also have a big block on the stand getting ready for a build, peanut port headed 454, paid 50 bucks intake to pan. All from good sources, I actually owned the zz4 before. Should be getting started pretty quick and ill try to get some pics up
