Re: 68 Gumby
Alright its been a while since I was last on here but have made a lot of progress on the truck. got the ignition installed into the dash again after installing my new steering column and steering wheel. also was able to install the new phantom guages I have wanted since i got the truck. (clock will be in the center opening) very happy with the way the interior is coming along. Found the seats I will be using. what do you guys think?

Re: 68 Gumby
After I installed the guages, it was time to finish the wiring and start puting some fenders back on and start the motor!!!! I have a video but do not know how to upload it to the forum yet but im working on it. After that I moved on to the brakes and bent all the lines using this black hard line from Jegs (looks very nice when it was all done. And finally hooking it all together witht he shortened drive shaft. (PIC of the underside of the truck)
The last pic is of a 72 Vette we found two doors down from us that had been sitting for 18 years.... only took a day to get it back running!! |

Re: 68 Gumby
With the truck road worthy, might be taking it down to the Goodguys show in Pleasanton this Sat.
Feel like it would be a good way to break in the truck. Hope to see some other chevys out there! |
