Re: Blue Hair
It would actually look awesome with some 15" steelies and thin whites. And about 5 feet lower.

Re: Blue Hair
i think the wheel choice should be driven by the paint plan personally (and my 2 cents is only worth about 1 cent) - i.e. if you keep the patina, then definitely go steelies and wide whites or even blackwalls. If you paint her up all purdy, then you could go any route - either wheel set previously depicted, OR still go with clean steelies and wide whites, etc... Personally, I love blackwall tires and on steelies, but www's aren't far behind that - just has to be the right truck for www's in my opinioj, and yours is certainly a candidate - will look good whichever direction you decide to go with it. Can't wait to see the build-up as it progresses along. Thanks again for posting.

Great score on the truck man ... looks to be in great shape !!
Throw some stockers on there for kicks, thin whites would look sick !!

Re: Blue Hair
Yep I agree with scrapmetalart, I would run 15 X 8 Vette rallys with 275/60/15's or steel wheels painted black with thin whitewall. But thats just the look thats popular here in my town right now. Either way LOVE THE TRUCK!!!!!!! Nice score!!!!!

Re: Blue Hair
Were those old wheels some kind of Halibrand knock off? They wer pretty cool. The new ones are pretty trick too. Nice score!

Re: Blue Hair
Well Blue Hair finally got an "altitude adjustment". It's back sitting on all fours and is ready to roll for spring!
This is 5 inches in the front and six inches in the rear. It's got a great stance! |

Re: Blue Hair
I used Bell Tech 2" spindle and 3" CPP spring. In the rear I used CPP 5" spring and a 1" Block. I did not have to C notch the rear. Also put on an adjustable panhard bar. 18" rim in the front and a 20" in the rear. Front tire is a 255/40/18 and the rear is a 275/35/20. Hope this helps!

Re: Blue Hair
wow! loooks great - and NO c-notch with 6" drop?? Any idea how much travel you'll get before you smack the frame or does it look like it'll even be a problem. I always wondered what " drop really required a C-notch (because i want to drop but not to notch...) and most of the kit mfgrs say anything over 4 or 5" requires the notch. Good data point - and your stance is great, congrats!!

Re: Blue Hair
Hey, does that dealer tag say "Service Chevrolet"? They're still here in Lafayette. I bought my 2004 truck from them. Can you post a closer picture of the tag so I can send it to my buddy that works over there? Thanks, Jeff

Re: Blue Hair
Yeah, they're still going strong. I've bought 6 new vehicles from them over the past 20 years. They're one of the largest dealers in Louisiana, still. I sent them the link, they'll get a kick out of it. Thanks, Jeff

Re: Blue Hair
Man that thing is nice! I had a '66 Chevy something like it when I lived in Calgary, it had typical Alberta rust which is nothing compared to Ontario cancer.
