Re: How about a show us you truck dropped thread?

I'm calling it a 4.5/6. Western chassis flip, shackles, c-notch and spindles. Also, Belltech 2'' coils. The kit originally was suppose to be 4/6 with 1.5'' coils but at the time, the supplier didn't have the coils, so they sent the lower 2'' belltechs.

Even with the lower belltech coils, the back is still a tad lower than the front. Also, the driver side front sits about 3/4'' higher than the passenger side and I notice it. BUT, I think this is because the alignment guy screwed it up, looks like the top of the tire is kicked OUT more on the driver side, making it appear higher. Could also be because of the skinny 235 in front and 255 in rear.

Rides nice though and overall I am happy with how it all went together.

Re: How about a show us you truck dropped thread?

These are some beautiful trucks guys. Im curious though if you cut one coil of a front spring, how much will it drop. Is like 1 full coil 2''? Just curious.

That's pretty close, although it makes a difference how much your springs have sagged over the years. Weaker springs may not see the same results.

heres a picture I saved a while back just for such a question

shows the suburban hanger installed and a truck hanger just sitting on the spring to show the difference.

I'd say close to 2-2/12 drop.

Thanks! Yessir, factory 8" rallys. I also have 1.25" spacers on the rear to even out the track width.
