Borrow away I have a great "lease to own" program too

I think the SBW numbers are so high simply because the truck pool we all have to pick from is saturated with them.

As opposed to items like the V-8 SBC and 3 speed auto's which no doubt fall under the catagory of "changed it to how I wanted it".

In any event looking at these stat's. are kind of cool, especially since we don't have access to any GM factory build stat's. like this.

Think this poll would make a good stickie at the top of the forum?

Re: 60-66 Truck Build Data Poll

Someone could start a poll about, how did your truck come from the factory. I don't know what all was available for each year. Maybe 2 polls one for 60 - 63 options and another for the 64 - 66 options.

Re: 60-66 Truck Build Data Poll

So as it stands now, it appears the most popular (or most common) truck on the forum is a custom themed 1966 short fleetside, small back window, with a small block V8 and 3 speed automatic. I’m actually somewhat surprised. I would have thought the most common truck would be a long bed fleetside with a 3 speed stick shift since it seemed to be the most popular when new. But then many of the trucks on this site (including mine) are not restored to stock.

Forgot about flat beds, if I get my parts together, I'll have a C30 flat bed, also could have added crew cab for fun

Nothing keeping you though from formulating a 60-66 Suburban poll.... do it! (You know you want to)

Re: 60-66 Truck Build Data Poll

Poll is slightly skewed due to inability to vote for one option more than once for those of us with multiple trucks. In this case the more common options, like sbw for example, are likely to be under represented. Hard to believe there are more swb than lwb. Probably an an artifact of who is more likely to become active forum members; swb owners over lwb owners.

Yeah, no way there are anywhere near as many shorties as opposed to longs.
It's just a reflection of who steps up to be counted. Still a worthwhile effort though.

The long beds are becoming rarer everyday. Haven't seen anybody stretching short beds, but we have all seen the long beds being shortened.

This poll is merely a reflection of the 60-66 forum members, just a snapshot in time of "Our Gang".

That's my truck, minus the trans. 4 speed w/granny now, close ratio muncie very soon.

<edit> I was going to hack my bed down, but I like the long bed and for some reason think the 60-66 longs look better lowered than the shorties.
