Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
I don't know any info on the yellow step side, it has been on Ebay a couple of times. Here is a 60-63 GMC suburban, any one know how to tell the year on the GMC's?

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
NEVERENOUGH, its a factory 61 4x4. I robbed a 76 4x4 frame of the springs and spring hangers. The reason i did this was is you cant by a lift kit for a 60-66 4x4 truck. You can get springs made, but around here its not cheap. This way I can buy any 73-87 lift kit off the shelf and it will bolt on. I have a 73-87 4" lift kit on it now and it sits about 2 1/2 inches higher than a stock 60-66 4x4. So far as drive train it has a 283, 700r4, np 208 combo. Corp 10 bolts front and rear from an 89 blazer. It has 2.08 gears, trying to get 3.73 one day. Anything else you need to know just ask. Thanks for the compliment!

This is my 1966 Factory 4X4. We are in the process of Restoring it, converting it to a Big Window, 1 1/4 Ton Axles and all new Lift Springs using the Original Grease Pin Suspension - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=455484

Oh yeah! NICE! That's the sh*t right there. WOW!
I traded a few emails with the owner of this truck awhile back, and he's got a whole herd of low milers. Not sure if he's a member here though. It goes to show that just when you think you've seen 'em all ... wrong! Last edited by oem4me; 05-01-2011 at 12:30 PM. |

That blue 66 has to be a new favorite of mine. I usually don't care for stacks on pickups but they work on that one. Wow...gorgeous truck!

Here is a nice 1966 gmc 4x4 that was owned by member Calitruckgrl1 who posted it on here around 3 years ago. I have not seen her on here anymore as I think she has sold this truck.

Sweet pickups! No pics to share yet, but I am looking into doing a 4x4 swap with my spare '65 roller. Subscribing for sure.

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
Yeah I think it was sold. I tried to get it before she did but was too late. By the time it was on C.L. again, I had my '63. That was a nice truck if I remember. Fact. 3/4 ton, vette327, 4sp. Nice!
