Re: bucket seats
Keep an eye on the for sale section of the board - 67-72 parts and blazer burb stuff. Nice buckets ready for recovering are often offered for sale by members as well as some already done. There is currently a set of utility buckets done in black vinyl and houndstooth that look sweet. Although originally for Blazers, they will work in a truck with the change out of the passenger seat brackets to truck brackets.

Re: bucket seats
Utility buckets came in blazers, and are wider than what has been posted. When used, they don't allow the use of a stock sized center console since there's not enough room.

Re: bucket seats
As you can see, the first pic. is a factory brace for the bench seat. I used a couple of the factory holes for one or two bolts. The rest I had to drill hols and weld the braces in place that I made.
To make the brace, I used extra window tracks that I had laying around. For the bolt hole, I used 1/2" fender u-bolts. I welded them in place depending on which brace I was making. Once they were welded into place, I got rid of the flat piece of the u-bolt, only leaving the bolt welded to the brace. The driver side braces need two u-bolts per brace, and a total of 4 braces. The passenger passenger side needs 1 u-bolt per brace and a total of 4 braces as well. I still need to finish the passenger side. I will take some pictures of the actual steps of making the braces and installing them on the cab floor sometime this week.
