so i was able to articulate the front end today abut something was not letting it down all the way i thought it was the tranny x member but it wasnt i was off of it by an inch still (sux) now that i see the pictures i realize i might have been hanging by the brake line any one know about this?
also now that the upper arm is higher the steering rod is in the way i need to figure that out too |

yeah i dont thin so but i also didnt think of that ill try to free the brake line first tomo thanks for the tip i wish i could walk out side and tinker a bit right now! (truck is not at my house too big lol)

I have the same problem my garage is a half mile away from my home. Many atime I have just wanted to go out and tinker. It stinks. Good luck and keep us posted

didnt get to work on the truck much today we have our anual local air show at our beach so thats where we spent our day cooking our skins and enjoying some planes and eye candy but i couldnt help to work on the truck at least a bit

i was focused once the show was over trust me i put a ton of time in these past days
i finished the bagging up front and even started fitting the fenders and hood to see what needs to be trimmed there to lay down as far possible i set the fenders but they need trimming tires are resting in them it wont lay all the way down Last edited by exoticmetalworx; 05-30-2011 at 09:30 PM. so i trimmed my fenders and my stance is still too wide.....by about a 1/4''
im goint to have to live w it for now....... i guess thats as low as i go for now w/o doing ball joints and other things (for now) |

chevy vans had a steering column with 2 ujoints; about 14 inches long.
that might work, and then a bracket with a bearing to support the long shaft. or could you raise the whole steering box, and then notch the frame a little for steering linkage clearance?

apreciate the help i think i am going with the flex joints for now after i put it all back together i visualized that it may worked as far as the clearance for the fenders unless me or some one comes up with an answer im going to have to make my own arms sooner than later............

wheel base is 133'' i cant remember but over all is over 20' i know because it doesnt fit in the 20' car port |
