Re: 85 k30

Re: 85 k30
Sorry I have been MIA for a while. Super busy at work and I am also knee deep in a 1981 Toyota FJ40 ground up... 4" lift 35's and '94 350TBI. I am trying to get done by July so I can drive it this summer.
To answer a few: Yes they are M1008 Bumpers. I had the front chromed. They wouldn't do the rear one so I had it chrome powdercoated. The shocks are Bilsteins 5100 series. They are basically universal shocks and non of the hardware (bushing sleeves, bolts) worked for a one ton. I had to make it all. They were a pain in the rump, but I like he look of them. The disc brake conversion I purchased off of ebay. It was the kind with the spacers. They were plane steel and I had the yellow zinc plated. They work well and I don't have any problems. Went to my first car show 'bout a month ago and won first place for the truck division (I was pleasantly suprised). |

Re: 85 k30
Nice work! This is my favorite truck on the forum and there are a lot of awesome trucks on here.
I am planning to run a military front bumper also. I have one that I need to get sand blasted. I was planning to paint it, but the chrome looks good so i might have to rethink that. Posted via Mobile Device |
