fenders are on, currently working on filling the dings and pinholes in the hood... hopefully will be able to paint within the next few weeks.

Re: '72 c-20 rat build
thanks guys, need to do some sanding and a final 2nd coat... maybe tuesday.
i sprayed the doorhandles because the chrome was all pitted anyway. don't really like it with black handles, so i'll have to find some other ones to use. also i picked up some 67 door panels, a correct (but beat up) seat, along with new clear tail lights and side marker lamps. currently debating maybe a red stripe on the high trim line... hrmmm.... |

Re: '72 c-20 rat build
after the second coat it looks a tad streaky in sunlight still... ah well... might give it a top coat of rattle can just to get that out of it. ive always had better luck with blitz black in the can opposed to spraying it by the quart. btw 2 quarts pretty much did the whole truck. about $30.

Re: '72 c-20 rat build
You gonna put bed liner in it? I just put the duplicolor roll in bed liner in mine and it turned out nice! For a long bed the Gallon kit it comes with did the entire inside of the bed and tailgate!

Re: '72 c-20 rat build
Just gonna spray it then? Or gonna leave it and cover it up?

Re: '72 c-20 rat build
i have a bed mat to put in, which just leaves the sides. i'll probably rattle can it for now, maybe bed liner down the road, i don't know... it's not a high priority right now.
last night i picked up some doorhandles off craigslist for $15. i like it a lot better now.... it's really starting to take off now that i'm getting some of the little pieces put back on... |

You order that from the guy on Ebay? Just curious. I think I've seen his stuff before, looks nice! Thought about ordering myself one and matching door panels.

Re: '72 c-20 rat build
Yup, that's what I thought. Looks like nice stuff, the colors'll definately compliment your truck. You'll have to let me know what you think of it after you get it installed and use it for a while.
