Re: sorry quick RANT!!!!

Google is your friend. When you go look at an engine take you phone and google the casting numbers.

Re: sorry quick RANT!!!!

I bought a 350 once. It came with an extra set of MT valve covers,a performer intake, a 750 Holley a th350 and a nice air filter and decent headers.
Turned out to be a 265ci. Ran good though so I sold it a such. Test ran it on the stand for the fellow.
Cost me $300. I kept the valve covers and headers and sold the rest to get all my money back.= Free valve covers and headers as well as performer intake.
My other 350 purchase was a 305 roller block. $80. I kept the serpentine system and all the components and sold the engine as a 305 to a fellow for $100. Again I test ran it for the fellow. He said he didn't care and just wanted the cam.=Free serpentine system.
Everyone wins.
Looking for my next 350 purchase...

Re: sorry quick RANT!!!!

This past Saturday I stopped at a local yard here, the owner had a "350" out back in a pile on engines. Sure enough, it was a Vortec complete but all the wires cut. He said he'd take $300. I figured that was a steal, so I was about to say I'd take it, when I looked at the back flange and saw 5.0 LG. SO I told him it was a 305, he said "aw stuff". It was an honest mistake but glad I checked.
