is a small back window more desireable than a big back window ?

If I was looking for a truck to buy and 2 were equal except for the window, I would get the small window. My first of these trucks was a '67 small, so a little nostalgia action, no doubt. Another thing, I remember when I was a kid-woulda been about 8 or 9 at the time-and the '67s first came out, every time my dad would see one with a small back window he would go on and on about how cheap GM is getting, "Can't even put a real window in their trucks!" So me being the rebel I've always been, naturally thought they were the best thing ever.

can anyone help me? im trying to replace the rubber seal around the vent window but having trouble keeping the rubber centered on the glass thank you in advance

I like the small back window simply because it is one of the unique characteristics of the 67s, like having no markers on the front & back fenders.
I've never had a large window, but I'm sure the visibility is much better.

It depends on the overall look of the truck, as to whether or not it is more desirable. If you question it, you must have doubts about how well you'd like it sitting at your house.

I prefer the big window, now if you're concerned about resale, the small window may be of more value.

I have a small window '67 swb step-side and a '71 lwb stepside. I finally realized I am only going to be able to restore one because of my age and the economy.

I decided to restore the '67 even though it will require more work because I like the small window more.

I like the small window step-sides best of all, but that is just me.

Many years I picked up a magazine called '67-72 Chevy Trucks. It was called the Spring 1999 issue. It was published by Primedia, which also published Classic Trucks at that time.

The first article in the mag was "The Big Swing", "Reviewing general motors' Most Significant Era of Production Home Runs". Written by Brian McCormick.

It says, "only twelve percent of the cabs produced in '67 were equipped with the large rear window; that number increased to 19 percent in '68. The demand for the panoramic cab was so large that Chevy implemented the design in the production of all cabs from '69 on".
According to this guy, 81 percent of '68 cabs had the small back window.

The small window instantly ID's your truck as a 67 from a distance. That is the only year that does that. Gets my vote for the cool factor.
