One thing I want/need to do is shim the body under the firewall/A-pillar. I'm going to try two shims. I'm hoping this will help with the fender gap problem and the door fitment issues I'm having.

I'm thinking that my issues has something to do with the aftermarket fender/grill. I just can't seem to close the gap between the radiator support and the inside of the fender.

I messed with mine last night. Tub was really close in back, about a 1/4 off in front. Moved the front of the tub over but the front clip didn't seem to move. Went against Phat Tony's advice and loosened up the fender bolts at the cowl. Now everything is screwed. Driver's fender went back into the door edge (more chipped paint) Alignment didn't change noticeably. I'm not happy with where my grill mounts either. It is jammed way up into the fenders on the top. There isn't any adjustment left that I can find so I think I'm going to slot out the top holes a bit.

have you tried torque on the body bushings under the core support, that area could change alot of your front end problems...are you using OEM parts? How about the hood hinge mounting points?

How did the gaps look before you took it apart...

I'd spend the rest of my days with an empty bag (if ya know what I'm sayin) to find GOOD, QUALITY aftermarket parts.

I know what you mean.

That's why I'm trying to save all the original type sheet metal I can. It sure isn't easy around these parts.

At this point, I really wish I would have spent the money on OEM sheetmetal..

Well, I took the fender triangle out of the front and took rotary file on my die grinder to make the hole on the radiator support bigger. This helped some to close the gap and I think I can get the rest by readjusting the hood.
