Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

Got the clear rear door glass swapped out for some factory tinted Suburban glass.

Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

I installed a much better looking used rear bumper on my truck to replaced the bashed up one that was on there. I have also been trying to track down the reason for my battery draining. I am still working on this issue.

While I was troubleshooting the battery issue, I noticed that not only is the passenger inner fender rusted out from the battery acid, my radiator support is also rusted out. Guess that I will be replacing both the radiator support and inner fender in the future.

can we get a "what did you do to your truck today" thread? instead of just remaking a thread that could continue on and on forever?

How did you go about "white walling" the tires? Some sort of paint?

Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

Spent all of Saturday and half of Sunday out in the 105 degree Texas heat and humidity trenching and installing a new sprinkler zone to get good coverage in my back yard. Trenched 160+ feet.

I almost died of heat stroke, methinks.

We sure can, all you gotta do is start one.

All I did was drive mine and break something in the front end. Haven't had time to check it, but I got home with no issues or drama, just noisy. I'm hoping its just a shock issue....

Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

I started a couple of projects last weekend. The first was sticking a larger tranny cooler on, as well as fabbing up a 10" fan behind it with a Derale 165* - 180* switch. The bigger job was my new to me rear seats. I picked up the front and back seats out of a 2004 Dodge quad cab for $40. I wasn't sure if I'd use them but it was too good a deal to pass on. The drivers side had a small hole in the bolster. Originally I was thinking of putting the rear seats in the dually, but the more I thought about it, the better, I thought, the front seats out of the Dodge would look in the back of the dually. So hocus pocus, here they are.

I am looking to get the front and back recovered in matching material down the road.
