Re: would you sell?

As Jay Leno once said .....I can't believe that this guy will give me this incredible car for a little piece of paper(a cheque)

But it depends on what else you need to buy.

Although they made many square body trucks almost 40 years later many of them are unique.

And as Frank noted you may end up buying the same truck back once you realize that.

You cannot turn the clock back and a car/truck is only original once.

I know lots of enthusiasts who say"I should have never sold that car"

But I don't know anyone who said "sure was glad to get rid of that 427 COPO Camaro..."

I'm in the same boat with you. I almost sold mine a few times when my father was still alive. He taught me alot of stuff about everything in or using that truck. It is one vehicle that I will never sell, no matter how pissed I get at it or how much is offered for it. Hopefully someday I can make it nice again.

If its just a truck and you stand to make some $$ on it, sell away. You will rarely make a dime on selling a vehicle so anytime you can make a profit and you have another reliable vehicle, time to see it down the road.

Re: would you sell?

Considering I have two, and I want to eventually get a Foxbody Mustang... I guess I'd sell one or the other for the right price. [it kinda helps that the one resident where I work works for American muscle and owns 4 Mustangs...]

Re: would you sell?

You gotta be careful if you don't really want to sell. I had a 49 Ford pickup a few years ago that I had put a lot of time and effort into. A guy stopped me, asked if I wanted to sell. I told him I'd take what I had in it; $7,500. He whipped out a checkbook and I was out a 49 Ford pickup!!!

Re: would you sell?

Had a few offers, and I turned them all down. Now that I think about it, I should of sold it and got one that wasn't a turd truck.

Re: would you sell?

If I was one of the rigs I have that didn't have any sentimental value I would probably do it if I got out of it what I had into it. Other then that hell no way haha! Got to much blood sweat and tears plus money into them to let em go

Re: would you sell?

If the moneys right ..... everything's for sale in my yard. I went for fuel this morning and when I came out from paying for it, there were 5 guys standing around my truck and one fellow asked if I'd sell it. I said for $18,000 it's yours. It's not sold.
