Re: Poll - Age of 60-66 Truck Owners

45 and it wasn't my foot kicking my momma before i was born. It was the wrench in my hand.

I remember when I was 8 or 9 and I had a hammer beating the hell out of my match box cars and my Grand dad ask what I was doing. i said "I'm fixing them" then it started.

Re: Poll - Age of 60-66 Truck Owners

I turned 52 last month

In my mind I don't think I'm 52, but with increasing frequency, my body reminds me that, yes I am.

Re: Poll - Age of 60-66 Truck Owners

I've had more cars/trucks that were older than me than I've had new. I didn't get into trucks until I moved to Oregon and needed one in 1993.

Big, tall, and loud. Low, long, and loud. I have done most anything but stock.

Re: Poll - Age of 60-66 Truck Owners

when i was 11 we had a dodge van that was always in the shop. we got to know our mechanic reeal good and since my mom worked he let me hang out at the shop with him through the summer. he had a 72 el camina with a 454 and a convertible cutlass 442 if i remember right. its always been the trucks that do it for me though. im 25 now.

I'm 20, and I bought my 6-6 Stepper because I was tired of staring at my dad work on his 6-5 Chevelle.

Welcome to the forum. Post some pics when you can.

I'm 63 now, started passing wrenches when I was about 6. By the time I was 10 or 11 I was doing tune ups and clutch jobs by myself. Had no interest in working on cars for a career, always kept it a hobby so the enthusiasm would never diminish.

Re: Poll - Age of 60-66 Truck Owners

Im 19. got my first 65 when I was 15. Ive been around these trucks since i was 4. I remember changing the valve cover gasket on my moms 65 chevy with a 250 when she first got it back in 1996.

It was badass, I remember when we hit the auto shops for scrap and made the money to buy the truck during the test drive

I never did a clutch until last year tho

49 and just realized that this has been a mid life crisis since 1984 when I got my first truck that started this whole obsession.
