Re: OJ has some new shoes for the summer

What size tires are you running? I am guessing the rims are 15x8.5, correct?

Re: OJ has some new shoes for the summer

Those slots look great, even better shod in a set of BFG's! Amazing how slick things turn out all polished up...

I'm really interested in the wheel & tire sizes. I've got a '79 two-tone (blue/white) GMC that I'm about to buy new BFG's for and I really like the setup up on your truck... Please post the sizes when you get a free minute. Thanks!

I also like the racing look I just put some 295/50/15's on the back and they fit perfect. Hmmmmm I'm torn

I vote slots. What are the wheel and tire sizes on the slots? Also, rough idea of the drop?

Re: OJ has some new shoes for the summer

4"-6" drop
Tires sizes on the slots are 255/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear.

Tire sizes on the steels are 245/60/15 front and 295/50/15 rear.

Re: OJ has some new shoes for the summer

Any rubbing on the front? Mine is a little lower, but that looks dead on. I would love to be able to run the 8.5's on the front.

Thanks for the info and the additional pics! I'd be torn as well, but I think I like steels a little better. I'm running rallys on mine '79 so I'm partial to the steelies. Looks great either way! I'm going to run the 295/50's on the rear of my truck and couldn't decide which size to run up front to keep sidewall heights close to the rears. The 245/60's look like what I need go with. Thanks again!

I use 1/4 spacers on the front 8" steels because of the back spacing

ymere you might want to find some 10" rear wheels before putting those 295/50's on. They might look a little puffy on those 8's

Re: OJ has some new shoes for the summer

I like both sets of wheels but lean to the steelies, 69 Camaro/chevelle dog dish caps would look awesome on those wheels.

I was thinking about putting the dog dishes back on but don't think they would go well with the white letters showing. Here's an older pic with the dogs on them black walls out.

Re: OJ has some new shoes for the summer

I think I know why you have a wheel choice problem, most guys put wheels on to make thier truck look good but your truck is making all those wheels look good. Sorry your truck is just too nice, LOL
