Re: Satin or gloss for the body paint ?
I have to agree, painted my car satin about 7 years ago, and now it's just too many satin cars for me, especially in black.
I was talking to a friend of mine who is a graphic designer and the latest trend is a satin or flat color, with a higher gloss graphic in the same color. He thinks the next trend is tone on tone graphics, for example a medium blue base color with a slightly lighter blue strip or flame. Heavy metal flake designs and candy colors like was seen in the late 60's are also coming back. Having said all that, the one paint scheme that never goes out is a single factory color in a high gloss coat. it won't get the most attention at a car show, but it will still be in style 15 years from now, and if you ever decide to sell it will be accepted by a large number of buyers. |
