Re: rat powered parts truck pics

I did'nt get a pic of the rat that was walking around the top of all that stuff, scared the heck out of me. That thing was about the size of a small dog! Bad part is I don't know where it went after I left to get the camera[ my shop is 6miles from my house] and I took those pics. Jim

Great photos! Is that your truck?
Time to invest in a cat, or maybe a mountain lion!!!

If the rat is as big as he say's, I think he needs a full grown tiger for that. Just give Mike Tyson a call.

Re: rat powered parts truck pics

Yes, It is my truck. I just got it delivered to my shop last friday. The man that lives next door to my shop has a junk yard- precrush staging area. He knew I was looking for a swb coil spring rear frame. Turns out the truck has a really good hood two fenders and rh door. I traded it for a park ave shell that I had used the front and both quarter panels and a 74 monte carlo that gave up it's motor. I feel ahead after looking for a frame for a while and then getting this for no cash outlay.

Re: rat powered parts truck pics

Yeah, I had the big-block thought too, but it was a smallblock. I am guessing a 305 [It had black paint and a newer odd shaped 2bbl carb]. It did however have a very decent looking set of headers on there. I have some new ceramic coated for my small-block truck and my 68 is gonna have a 454. The truck was brought in to give up its parts for a more worthy project , the fenders are ok[ the right one will need a cup] the rh door looks good the cowl panel may get smoothed out and the bed floor looks nice and very workable. last but not least it has 5 lug suspension and a coilspring short frame.

A new battery and a little starting fluid - it should fire right up.
