I know this doesn't help answer the original question that this thread asked, but I thought it was a neat plate that is GM related.
A friend of mine bought this plate for me at a rummage sale for 10 cents.

I believe that this one was used in 1972 as a dealer promotion plate.

I got this one for my '67 farm truck. I believe it's an early repop. The slogan should be OK for '67.

Early plates were steel not aluminum. Both these examples are steel.
