Re: 72 gauge cluster light ?'s
Nope. You can reach all of the bulb holders by reaching up behind the cluster.
All of the bulbs live in black twist-lock bulb holders, so just look up from underneath and you'll see them. Give them a little twist to the left and they'll come out.

Re: 72 gauge cluster light ?'s
I don't guess running the 168 bulbs versus the 194 could create any long term problems with the cluster or circuitry since it is a brighter and hotter bulb?

Re: 72 gauge cluster light ?'s
and thats for the socket? i know what bulb size i need, which is the 194 but im needing the socket for the bulb to go into. for some reason when i opened mine up it only had 1 light in the circuit board. that explains why it was so dim

Re: 72 gauge cluster light ?'s
PC 194 is the socket with the bulb and the bulb is replaceable If you want them brighter replace the bulb with a 17177 bulb

Re: 72 gauge cluster light ?'s
oah ok thanks
any ideas as to why there was only 1 light to aluminate the cluster? and if the circuit is cracked or off of the bolts its suppose to attach to do u think i should just buy a replacement? theres one place on the circuit that the bolt to one of the gauges is broke off so im thinking thats why guage isnt lit very well |

Re: 72 gauge cluster light ?'s
For the 4, those will work just fine. But the other 5 I honestly wouldn't waste the additional cost of leds on them. I did on mine and it's not worth it as they are just indicator lights and don't need the extra brightness to function well. Standard lights light them just fine and are much cheaper.

Re: 72 gauge cluster light ?'s
That is a good deal! My only concern would be the color. I wanted the "Cool White" color which is what's on the newer cars licence plate lights. The color labels only "white" which is different. But, it really depends on the color you're looking for anyways.
Also, I have bulbs that are pretty much exactly like that and the ones you posted from superbrightleds.com, my cluster doesn't shine as bright as others posted...looks much more like Mayo's if not identical (without a green tint though).
