If you look up a 2000 truck its 55-62psi key on engine off.

If you can set the gauge up so you can see it while you drive that would be the best. It`s good to know what the pressure is when it feels the worst. If you know someone with a good scanner, or HP tuner maybe you can data log to see whats going on.

when the pump is priming, key on engine off it will hit about 55. then go to 50 and slowly fall off after hours of sitting.

i had my gauge up while driving. im seeing about 45 at idle, 53 54 at full throttle i believe.

another thing im noticing is my pump changing tone, even at idle then i look at my fuel filter before the pump, and my fuel is all sloshy looking (foamy and air raided) the pump gets louder almost like its sucking air. what might cause this?i was thinking it may be my fuel filter before the pump restricting? its a oreilys fuel filter made for carburated i think it is. a clear plastic with paper filter inside


any input on all of my questions would be great.

today i tried taking the filter off trying to cure those other issues stated above. made no difference. truck will still stall every few minutes, sometime it will pull itself back up and sometimes it will try but cant.

watched my fuel pressure gauge as this happened. didnt drop or gain anything.

(this one is a start up after it had died and i cycled the key to run the pump again. notice it was missing off start up, had to bump the throttle and it stopped.

either way, that carb filter is the wrong choice for the application...better off with the correct parts anyway.

As for the air sucking noise you mentioned; I scanned back through the thread but didn't see what your fuel pump setup was.
Any chance you have a loose fitting somehwere before/at the intake side of the fuel pump? When running the pump would create suction, so if you have a leak just before the pump it could possibly suck in air and foam up the gas. I'm on a limb since I think if there was a leak just before the pump, you would be able to notice it dripping when off...unless the leak were so small that the fuel evaporated before actually dripping down .

Kinda guessing at this point.

Not a single sign of a leak anywhere and that's what I would think with the fuel lines. The videos I hope would help

Fuel press. seems alittle low but I think there`s more to it then that. Can you check sensor readings and see if there`s any codes. You should look for vacuum leaks too, unused ports that are open maybe?

sensors are all reading last time i checked. fuel trims are moving like they should. vacuum leaks i couldnt find any
