Re: A Few Pics of my Grandpas 68 C 10

Update Jan. 2012: the bed is just about complete - bed, fenders and tailgate are painted and awaiting assembly and bedwood. The rest of the body has been disassembled and media blasted and bodywork is about to begin (rockers, cab corners, supports, etc.)

Re: A Few Pics of my Grandpas 68 C 10

Looks good, very nice work! What size rally wheels and tires are those and do you have any clearance issues with them? I'm kind of thinking i would like the car rallys instead of the truck rallys on my 72. Joseph

Looking fantastic! Cab looks pretty solid overall...see some repairs needed in typical areas but not too bad!!!

When we first talked and you were telling me about this truck, I thought what a great thing to do, I had no ideal that you were going to do such a

That 68 build is rolling along nicely. Everything you have done so far is right on the money.

Your truck looks fantastic! I love the stance and the wheel and tire combos. Gonna be a sweet ride when you get it finished. Keep the pics coming.

I think they called it media blasting - I believe it's little plastic pellets

I like it, my 70 was bought brand new by my great grandpa and driven till he passed, I love the sentimentality of a family owned vehicle

Re: A Few Pics of my Grandpas 68 C 10

Got the bed home and just about have all the wood finished. I have to tighten a few more bolts. Will take better pictures tomorrow - just had my phone with me and it was getting dark.
The cab is primed, seam sealed, and all body work complete. Will hopefully have it painted this week. I'm pretty pumped - what was supposed to take 6 months is going to be done in a little over 6 weeks.

Wow, nice work! The bed looks great. Great truck history, too. I love those seats, they look really nice and comfortable.

Re: A Few Pics of my Grandpas 68 C 10

What kind of exhaust setup are you running? I wanna run duals on mine but my local guy says its hard to run duals on our trucks and wants over 500 bucks which I think is pretty high, all I was thinkin was a 1 inlet dual outlet muffler like flowmaster or cherry bomb and dual pipes straight out the back..but like the look of yours.
