New Pictures
Here are a few pictures of my progress. First is my "New to Me" welder Model# 1255 .
The tub i'm grindin the flux core wire off & weldin back with my mig . The tub after weldin, grindin, a little short strand filler & light primer just to keep rust away till my paint buddy gets started . Here is the new 31/16.5/15 on a 12" wheel with 7.5 bs. I think I'm gonna use these wheels for the track & after paint, go with a 15X14 with 8.75 bs & 31/18.5/15 tire to run on the street . I think there is room for them. More pictures to come.

Re: Started on the Tubs
Wow, 31X16.5? Isn't that kinda too big for that wheel? Just asking because I might try to do something like that on my S10.

Re: Started on the Tubs
Nope, the tire specs calls for a 12"-14" wheel. I hope to have more pictures of the side & other progress in a day or two. When I go to a 18.5 I'm gonna go with the tubeless Mickey Thompson on a 14" wheel. I don't know about your S10 drums but I had to grind my drums down quite a bit so they would fit in the wheel. When I had my '85 S10 drag/chicken truck I ran a 10" wheel with a 10.5 slick & they tucked with a 5.5" back spacin. Good luck on your dime!!!

Re: Started on the Tubs
Thanks feller, I hope to have more pictures in a day or two. Yesterday me & my buddy had to change out air compressor's in my garage so I didn't get to play any with my truck other than back it out of the garage. I did make some changes to my exhaust the other night till I can get my Borla's & 3" pipe done. I cut the pipes at the mufflers, about 4' of tailpipes that went over the rearend are now gone & it sounds so much better even though they're 2.5" pipe & Flowmaster 44's. I also bought a pair of "781" heads I'm gonna have worked & change while my truck is bein painted. I'm thinkin bout goin a different cam setup too, we shall see, lol. The cam I'm runnin now is kinda mild but I went with it due to the peanut port heads thats on the motor now. My buddy wants a cam he can hear so I'll give this one to him if I do change. I like Lunati cams & Herbert lifters but I may go with an Isky cam & Herbert lifters. Isky has a grind I like & a tighter lobe sep. that Lunati doesn't offer & I don't really want to get into custom grinds just yet as this is just my street toy. Like I said, we shall see!!!
