Re: Steering box swap help

This is great steering box info. Thank you to everybody that has posted.
Can anybody tell me what the advantage to getting a new or remanufactured Red Head, AGR, Borgeson, etc. over just a stock replacment from like a 73 or newer truck? Kinda like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151670580975...AIT&rmvSB=true

Thanks for any help/advice/opinions.

Re: Steering box swap help

AFAIK, the original saginaw box is long out of production. So the options are rebuild it yourself or buy a rebuilt like you've posted. Redhead and AGR are rebuilt, hopefully, to a higher standard of clearances (blueprinting).

CPP offers a Delphi 500 box that is new. It is a slightly different design and supposedly has a better straight ahead feel. It's a popular swap in cars but might be a little light duty in a "truck" application.
