I don't like the eyebrow trim left chrome on the one pictured. I think it would look better all black, or dark grey.

When I had a GMC I painted the grill bodycolor. One thing about it, because it was chrome underneath, the paint seemed to chip a little easier than the rest of the truck.

I think if chrome was an option the original poster wouldn't have started this thread. I think leaving the surround chrome helps break it up and make a painted grille look intentional,not a cheap alternative or a throw-back to the out dated monochromatic "euro-look" from back in the '80s.

Depends on the truck's overall style.

My vote is for chrome (for your truck) but I really like the painted example from 67cheby.
