Just becuse a weld "looks good" doesnt mean it really is. if you know anything about welding you can make it "look good" and did a cold weld and then hit it with a hammer and your weld will break.

+1

chassis tech is crap. I really can't believe they are still in business.

Re: C10 drop member......

Saw this the other day and it didn't really bother me too bad that there's another duplicate out there. Not happy about the name... but hey, maybe all his advertising will drive more traffic to my dropmember.com URL.

We have been there before, and I am sure there will be other "similar" products for years to come. It's just business. I don't take offense. I just try and offer a product with more options and better service than the competition. I stay out of the drama and just do my thing.

Regarding the first gen Dropmember and "frame twist" comment... no idea who that guy is.... probably works for a competitor. We sold a ton of the first gen Dropmembers and have only had issues with two that experienced some excessive flex. We took care of the concerns with the truss kit that has been offered with the new design for over a year.... even offer it as a free upgrade to anybody who thinks they need it. The two customers who had the concerns are still repeat customers... so I guess it was handeled to their satisfaction.

It is nice to see all the guys who appreciate and support all the hard work and time I have spent developing products for the C10s... thanks for all the kind words.

Nate

Re: C10 drop member......

I saw the ad in Hot Rod magazine. Thought about posting a thread a few days ago, but decided not to. It's a copy and from the add it looks like an older version.

Nate posted above and seems to have handled it the most professional way. A friend of mine is building a blazer with Nate's stuff and said that Nate even sent him the newer style shock mounts even though he bought the set up from another board memeber. That's cool in my book. Once I have the money, Nate will get my business.

Just curious why you went with Chassis Tech's DM over Porterbuilt or thorbros?

Is this "other option" any better?
Is it any different?
Why did you opt to buy the Chassis Tech version vs. the original Dropmember from Porterbuilt?

Re: C10 drop member......

I strongly disagree that your getting more for your money going through Chassis Tech, having worked with both. But if you're happy with them, then that's what counts!

I like the RHD build you have goin, nice work! Good Luck!

What impressed you the most, design features or the 'bang for the buck'? If its better or different, how so? If it's strictly monetary, what is different that gives you the feeling of more return for your investment vs the other options?

do you have a price breakdown for what is included? Lets see some numbers/info on what you are getting with the chassis tech member.
