Re: Another Interesting SWB 4x4

Does anyone know what the "R44" line is on the SPID? I am sure it's an explanation of tire size but I don't recognize it (7.00-15.0-6 PR HIGH) and my parts manual does not have that RPO code.

Dan, I believe that was a 7.00x15 tire, 6 ply, and highway tread

Thanks Joe! If I can buy this I may be in the market for a set of Blue Knobs and chrome lock-out surrounds.

Re: Another Interesting SWB 4x4

DANTIP, I looked at this truck about 14 or 15 years ago, I believe the same guy owned it back then. He was asking around 12,900 for it then. At that time it was just to much for me. I didn't know much about these trucks back then. The truck did not show well, it was very dirty, the bed was loaded with junk, actually I was quite suprised that the guy did not try to clean it up back then.

After seeing the photos now, I'm kicking myself for passing on it.

I'd say right around $15,000

Good luck and don't worry I won't tell anyone where it is

Sweet truck, good luck on the offer!

This may be a stupid question, but why is the truck orange and the
inside of the glovebox dark gold / bronze?

I would guess that the on the SPID "saddle vinyl custom" interior has something to do with it...

Re: Another Interesting SWB 4x4

GMC's had the glove box door painted a close match to the interior color, and also the face of the instrument cluster

Joe,

What do you mean by the face of the instrument cluster? Do you have an example you can show us? Thanks as always!!

Re: Another Interesting SWB 4x4

Dan, where the black is on normal clusters, GMC's were painted interior color. Same color as the seat. This would only apply to trucks not equipped with the Sierra or Sierra Grande packages which would have had the woodgrain applique dash. Trevor

This might give you a good idea of the GMC Dash/Glove box color scheme. This example in the Turquoise flavor. Its been a while since I have posted on here. Sure does feel good to be back. Good luck on your possible purchase. Love those rare GMC 4x4's.

Thanks for the photo. I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to GMC details! I am really hoping I can make a deal on it!

Yep. Kinda odd at first glance, but it kinda grows on you. I have definitely not seen another like it. The glove box decal option says "turquoise int."

Oh Yeah! Orange and Turquoise go together. I had a buddy that did that combo in his kitchen. It looked great. I learn something here every day, I didn't know about the GMC painted cluster, very cool!
