Tires are p275/60r15. Wheels I'm not sure I think 8x15.

Re: Finally Got My Stepside
Update - So I finally got around to taking my truck to the California Highway Patrol Office so they could do A Vin# check on the replacement cab. DMV required this step. The cab came back clean so now when the truck is drive able I have to take it back and they will install a new Vin plate that has matching numbers to the frame. I haven't done much work on the truck lately just been buying small parts and tools for the bodywork. Now I can get started taking the truck back apart and get some bodywork and paint going. Thanks for looking.

Re: Finally Got My Stepside
I do not envy you in the slightest for having to deal with Cali's DMV. That sounds like a ridiculous amount of hassle. Makes me feel good about living in a state where, basically, they don't really care lol.
Good thinkin on the comp. set up & looks like you have a great start to a fun project! keep it up!

Re: Finally Got My Stepside
Do you have any contact info for the person who sold you the glove box door?
Great project!

Re: Finally Got My Stepside
Yesterday I pulled out six dents out of my cab with a Harbor Freight stud welder.
It worked great well worth the 100 bucks. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Finally Got My Stepside
Today I welded up my gas filler hole. I'm a rookie welder and I used a Harbor Freight $100 welder. I took me three hours and a lot of grinding and I had few blow throughs. I think with a little more grinding and some filler it will be ok.

Re: Finally Got My Stepside
My son just finished lacrosse season. So I was able to finish scuffing the cab and got the primer on. Wow that was a lot of work.

Re: Finally Got My Stepside
Ouch you aren't going to like this at all I just went to Holleys website to look up the Air Scoop and there is a disclaimer in the installation notes.
http://www.holley.com/7220.asp "Not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution controlled motor vehicles" Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I couldn't in good conscience not tell you about it. |

Re: Finally Got My Stepside
No worries guys. California only has pollution control on vehicles from 1976 and up.

I got to sneak a few hours in today on the truck. I got the block painted and the old intake taken off. The new parts just sitting there right now. Maybe tomorrow I can get it bolted up. Posted via Mobile Device |
