Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
Zip is 02825 but if they come by bus they may need to go to newport RI. My son will be putting all his power windows and locks in from the old doors so if you want to save the glass for your other trucks it might lighten up the shipping weight. 67-72 doors are $80 shipping without glass by greyhound. How much would you be hoping to get before shipping? Oh and non comercial.Although if coming by truck I could have them deliverd to a buisness near here.

Passengerside door has two dented areas. One is in the white reflective panel and it looks like they rubbed a gaspump bollard post near the bottom back side of the door. As far as shipping it will be tomorrow before I can get pricing. I am not sure but i dont think we have a greyhoundterminal anymore. I dont get over on that side of town anymore but will check it out tomorrow as well alternatives. Price I would think Drivers door $100 Pass. $50 plus shipping no glass, mirrors or interior panels per ur request Richard actually looking at the original pics i posted you can probably see more detail than what i captured tonight

Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
Im sure you looked, but my son would like to see the bottom edge under the weather strip, thats where the doors on his truck have gapping holes where the skin seperated from the back. LMK about the shipping, depending how they have to go I have a brother in law in Front Royal Virginia with a commercial shipping address, maybe we could work something out there to save the shipping costs. He comes up this way every month or so. Thank Frank

Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
I have to run home in a little while to get something and will get some better daylight pictures. If you look in the picture above you can actually see the chrome bumper sitting on the cowl. It is less than 2 years old and was perfect until I started disassembling the truck ( got a little to close with the bobcat and snapped the plastic tag bracket and put a small bend in the bottom by the bracket. WIll snap closer picture when I get home.
I send a service truck over to the DC area quite a bit doing work at gas stations. If it is something that your brother could arrainge to meet us it could save you quite a bit on shipping. Richard

Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
Here are some pictures without the rubber seals on the bottom of hte doors. There is a minor amount of liftout in the center of both doors but it appears to be dirt and not rust. I would say if left this way it would def. rot it out. The passenger door has a few more dents than what I thought so here are more pics of that as well. Glass looks good no scratches that I see and it is factory tinted as well. Not show quality but not bad either.
The front bumper is aftermarket. as I said before the tag bracket is destroyed and a dent where the bracket goes but new bracket would cover it. Starting to get some minor surface rust but steel wool will take it right out at this point. $50 bucks plus the ride Richard

I think he's gonna pass on the bumper but is interested in the doors if we can work out an exchange. How often do you send trucks to DC and how much advance notice do you have? My Brother inlaw says if he had enough notitice he could just drive up there and meet your guy,its only about an hour from where he lives to DC.

Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
Since there has been limited interest in this I am going to pull some of the smaller items off of the cab and send the rest to the scrap yard with the rest of the metal I am taking next week. If you are interested in the cab or doors let me know before Sunday or they are getting loaded.
Richard

Yes I do still have the panel. the upper section of vent area close to the windshield are has a few of the ribs missing but other than that it appears to be in decent shape.

Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
Do you still have that under hood light that Liddy asked about in post 23?
Oh, also... do you still have all of the interior? What kind of condition is it in? Mostly thinking everything, minus the seat and maybe the dashboard. I don't need any of it, but if something happens to anything in my interior, it'd be nice to have spare pieces. Hate to see something like that get tossed. Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
Well, I definitely want the under hood light. Interior pieces would depend on their condition and total cost to me... if its too much, I'll pass. My interior is in really good shape, but like I said, I hate to see good stuff get tossed.
My shipping zip would be 60031. Thanks for your help! |

Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
Might take me a day or two to get everything together. Is there anything that you would consider a must have other than the hood light? Are you talking door panels gauge panels radio, heat controls or just trim?
Richard

Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
I wouldn't say that any of the interior pieces are a must have... I was thinking about only the plastic trim pieces (A pillar, B pillar, under and over the rear window, sill plates, kick panels, gauge bezel). If any of it is broken, then obviously I wouldn't want it.
If the upper and lower dash are okay I might consider them. Would need to know if door panels are the same as what's in my SLE... if they are, I'd consider them too. Don't need radio, gauge panel, wiring harness, steering column, seat, headlight switch. Thanks for doing this... I appreciate your help. |

Re: 97 GMC 1500 parts
I am not thinking that the interior trim is something that you would want. I inspected it pretty close today when I got the hood light for you. WHile it is not busted it is pretty sunbleached. This was a work truck and was not the best cared for unit.
With that said how is $15 shipped for the hood light? Richard Quote:
