Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

Nice. Congratulations!!! Post up some pics of your truck on here. Did you get the bolt in kit?
One of the cool things I want to do is the wilwood brake upgrade. I'll have to wait a little bit but it can always be added on.
Justin sent me my tracking info and looks like my carrier bearing xmember with billet carrier will be here on Thursday!!! I should be able to do some work on it today and get the rear buttoned up. Pics will follow.
To all that have posted on here thanks! Feel free to post pics of your trucks on this thread I think it would be cool.

Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

yes I got the bolt in with a few other goodies....what bolt pattern did you end up using, and what size brakes do you plan on upgrading to?

I plan on doing 4 wheel disc, just cant decide if I wanna use hydro boost or not, but it looks like I have some time to decide, ha ha

Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

I did the 5x5 because I already had the wheels. Cross drilled and slotted. I want to do the wilwood 13 inch kit. All in due time.

Hey j,
I know you pulled a porter rear, did you also pull a porter front when you ordered a Scott's super slam?

Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

I didn't have a PB front kit just the rear. The original plan was a PB front to be honest with you. I ended up with the Scott's front end after a lot of research and planning. I liked the look of the Scott's kit better. On the rear I just didn't care for the rear set up once I got it all in. I also like all my susp parts to match, so once I went with the front kit the rear had to be changed out.
I'm not bashing anyone's product. I did my homework and for the money and the look I wanted Scott's was the way for me in the susp parts. I have many other company products going into this build even Porterbuilt stuff. The quality of the Scott's kit was killer. They have produced THOUSANDS of kits for years. I have buddies that have camaros and fords with his ifs in them and not a complaint from any I them.
If you have any other questions just let me know.

Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

Thanks man. I got Scott's carrier bearing cross member in yesterday. I have been blessed to be swamped at work this week so no time to play with my truck. I hope this weekend I can put in some time.

Hey guys I finally hung my front sheet metal on the other day and rolled her out of the garage. I am very happy of how she looks. I still have to adjust it and start plumbing up my air ride. Glad to be workin on her again.

Love the look of the burbs on the ground! You've done a good job. I cant tell and maybe its just the camera angle, but are the wheels dont look centered in the wheel wells?

So front is centered & rears will be after adjusting? The camera angle does make it look otherwise.
