Re: Back from paint!

Wow, you work pretty quickly! Truck is looking really good by the way. I also like the gun rack.

My dad allways had gun racks in his trucks too!

What are the plans after you finish putting her all back together?

Re: Back from paint!

I had to work fast...if the wife came home and saw that I did nothing all day but work on my truck I never would have heard the end of it! Plus, I had errands to do in town and wanted to drive it around and show it off. As far as the plans, just to drive it. I need to get the bench seat rebuilt and while I have that out I'll probably clean out the inside of the cab and put in a new floor liner. I've decided to play hooky from work today since I have to work on my days off coming up so I'm going to finish the DIY bed liner kit and then get the tool box back on...and maybe go get some paint for the wheels.

Re: Back from paint!

Well it is coming together very nicely and you have done a great job. I repainted mine last year and replacing all of the chrome, trim, door seals, and everything else got to be expensive after awhile. But it looks so much better after a nice paint job.

Enjoy driving it around and showing off. It looks great!

Re: Back from paint!

Alright, it's 100% back together...with no left over parts! I'm going to touch up the DIY bed liner tomorrow (stupid dog jumped in when the tail gate was down, now I have a bed lined dog).

Slowtruk - I was thinking about putting a little black on the frame...I did the inner fenders when I had them off, used a rubberized undercoating on the wheel side and a gloss black on the engine side, it turned out nice. I think I'm going to do inside the rear wheel wells also. I just picked up some white engine enamel to do the wheels but that's not going to happen until after X-mas.

Sounds good. Check out the wheels I painted on my 85, they turned out real nice!
