72 c10 custom with a 67-68 front clip, LS9 eng, tci 700R4 tranny, dana 60, 4/6 drop, shaved trim-doors-gas cap, color/wheel option 1.) satin black w/red powder coated dayton wire wheels and redline tires, color/wheel option 2.) satin powder blue on top, satin vanilla on bottom w/ corvette/camaro rally's.

I think mine would be very similar to extd56's crewcab.
Just a few changes. I may go a different color, but I wouldn't rule out what he's done. (if the price was right) The biggest change would be a Duramax diesel. I want to use it to pull a modern 5th wheel, so I would want it to have that diesel feel (and fuel mileage) Like his, I would HAVE to have the 4th door. And like my 'Burb, I would want it to be a ultra modern daily driver on the inside with all the modern conveniences.

The one i have but with...
572 big block 700r4 trans Tubular front suspention with airbags rear 4 link with airbags the same 22" rims I have White with Black top All black interior Gas tank moved to the rear BIG stereo and ..............NO A/C

My ideal truck would be just like the one I have . . . that was the idea behind adding things that couldn't have been on it in 1970 like the 700R4, front disc brakes, easy-to-use shoulder belts, modern AM/FM radio and 3:42 rear. To me, it's now the "Ideal" truck" !!! . . . .

Hmm... Since there's no wrong answer, here's my (current...) dream truck:
72 Cheyenne Super 20 Custom Camper white over solid tangier orange body slider window a/c, gauges, black buckets 402/TH400 GV o/u leaf springs Oh, and a cool early 70's camper in the bed.... EDIT: btw, I've only seen ONE Cheyenne Super Custom Camper in my life, found it recently on CL, and it was sold, of course. I'd have been all over that like a bum on a baloney samich. Any thing like Al's truck or Original 71's would be like winning the lottery! I absolutely love Hazel! I am in the planning and money accumulation stages of my Dream Truck. I guess if you wanted to pigeon hole it it would be considered a Resto-Mod because I wanna blur the lines between resto and custom. It will be the factory blue, buckets and use many of the factory pieces. Anyone who didn't know would just think I took a restored truck and lowered it with big wheels. I want it to be powered by a big block that looks restored (L71 tri-power is the inspiration) but cleaned up, backed by a 4L80e. I found a pic of a truck that is pretty close to it. Not sure whos it is though.
