Re: '68 SWB - Hauler to Complete Resto
Next up was the interior. Once the tank was out I was able to build a small panel for my rear speakers. Made a cardboard template then on to a plywood skeleton covered with black trunk material and trimmed in leather that would match my seats and door panels.

Take your time w the metal work. Helps with limiting warping and a lot less filler!!! I think the hardest part was getting the rods on the latch to snap into the plastic clips they give you in the kit. Guess I just got fat fingers

Re: '68 SWB - Hauler to Complete Resto
Recaro seats I picked up from a friend recovered them in black leather w red stitching, tilt steering, door panels, and fabbed a center console to finish off the interior. I think it turned out pretty good.

Re: '68 SWB - Hauler to Complete Resto
Currently, just added a Bruce Horkey’s bed kit to finish off the bed. White ash with mahogany stain and 12 coats of varnish to finish it off. A little bit of fitting before I stained and finished the wood. A pretty long process but the results were worth it. That brings everyone pretty much up to date on my build. Next plans include LED tailights, a serpentine belt system, and some Ring Bothers hinges for my hood.
