Legal advice to help keep my truck

I just dealt with this same thing, exact same day and everything. Theres lots of good advice in my thread "some christmas present" I found as many reciepts as I could including town tax, got all the appraisals that were available (kbb, nada, edmonds), took it to a body shop, and found other similar trucks for sale for replacement value examples. After about two weeks of back and forth I finally got a fair amount of money and got to keep my truck with a clear title. I ended up with 80 percent of the value I was taxed on last year and a clear title, the adjuster really didn't have much of an argument when I layed it out for him and did the math in an email.

biggest thing, like some others have stated is, dont settle. whatever you feel is the value should be the only number you accept.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SETTLE!!!! If you have receipts you can request that your insurance company send out an appraiser with your receipts and the upgraded parts the appraiser will be able to appraise at a higher price...even though book value may be next to nothing they can put it into a "classic car" category and allot you more money, for what you have restored.
