Re: 68 swb build
To get the photos here simply hover over your picture on photobucket....it'll come up with four options under...simply left click on the link that says IMG code and it will copy it automatically...then click in the reply window and hit control-V and it'll paste it here for you and when you post it will show the picture...

Re: 68 swb build
Nice ride. Would be cool to get some trucks togather for a run this spring. There are a few other guys on here too.

Re: 68 swb build
Drop spindals and springs on today. Since the ball joints were new not long ago I used them. Tearing the 5 lug disc brake and rotor assembly apart for rebuild and installation tomarrow. Truck was on hold till I finished painting a friends chopper. Pics at photobucket clutch44. If anyone can upload to my thread? Thanks

Re: 68 swb build
The front end is down on the ground. Still need to install new brake lines, sway bar, and shock boots. Poppen the bed tomarrow to start dropping the rear. I like the 5 inch drop in the front with the new wheels and tires and happy with how it all went togather.

Re: 68 swb build
Posted via Mobile Devicethe 71 5 lug posi that I plan on using is 2" wider than the 68 6 lug posi that is on the truck now. I am wondering how its all going to look when back togather. Clearence issues or spacers for the right look.

Re: 68 swb build
Posted via Mobile DeviceC notch installed, frame nice and square. Soon to be back on the ground. Received shock boots today, as this is a daily driver, thought important to protect the seals on the McGaughy drop shocks.

Re: 68 swb build

Posted via Mobile Devicebecause I don't know anyone that likes old trucks that doesn't like old bikes so I thought I would share this. Its also why my truck was not in the garage. When my buddy brought his bike over last summer to weld his steering stops back on ( hence the dents in the front of tank ) I said to him "hey, let's reset your tins this winter and let me shoot some paint on this thing" he said "sure". So we did, and since he is a great guy and a good friend, I did it for free. What are friends for anyway. My truck someday will get the same treatment. Posted via Mobile Device
