Install a stock muffler or a turbo muffler and behave yourself. LOL. Save your reputation. LOL!

Re: Help a guy out.

I like Thrush glasspacks. I'd just run a set of those and not worry about anything. They sound good on 6 cylinders IMO.

Re: Help a guy out.

I must be in the minority here but to me nothing sounds better than the secondaries opening on a quadrajet carb... I still have flows on my old (now dead) '78 C15 454 and while it sounded OK at certain RPMs, I'm going with the quietest thing I can find next time around. It seems cooler to me hearing the actual engine sucking in air up front...since that's what's doing all the work anyway.

When I was a teenager riding in my dad's car 20-something years ago, I suddenly heard this loud moan & when I looked behind us, the driver of a mid-seventies Camaro had just put the hammer down to pass us. I'm sure it was just a stock 350 but I knew that car had its balls to the wall... it was music to my ears as he flew by us at probably 80+ mph.

I live out in the country & our neighbor has one of those newer (blecch) Silverados with the aftermarket exhaust. It's loud whenever it's running -- annoying when I'm trying to sleep or just enjoy the quietude.
