Re: rescued a good parts truck from the crusher

Parts truck?? Are you kidding?? That thing is very good, better than most of us start with. Also has the guages in the dash, and the fairly rare 2 speed auto shift column. A nice chrome grill and bumper, and custom cab trim, that was a well optioned truck. Not too sold on that grill guard though, interesting, but not for me. Nice score on the truck.

I got you guys in mind if I can find another like this. We had been looking for a few years before we found this one. With the scrap price up, I have seen more good trucks in the last 3 months than in the past 3 years. Of course it does help alot that the sand and gravel company where a friend works, got into the mobile crushing business.

Chief, this is a better pic of the gun rack. One side at least. I may be able to go to where the truck is stored today and get better pics.

Outstanding. That truck is way too nice to crush.

That's what I thought. It's too bad that the cab and front end have so much rust through or I would make this my next build.

I do have a lead on a BBW, factory A/C cab. I think I can get it for $100.00 or so.
