Got my Eastwood Poweder Coat Kit today...

Well, I FINALLY got the oven "test fired" so to speak.......
The putrid stench of burning rat peepee and feces that I didn't quite get all cleaned out was literally enough to make me !
It took about 2 days to get rid of that olefactory memory(smell outta my schnoz!)!
I blasted, prepped and cleaned a battery support bracket for my econo-rubbermaid box(Saturn). Coated it with a satin black and cooked it!
It came out really well except for where I dropped it back onto the oven grate, leaving a couple little dings in.
I've got a few other odds and ends I think I'm gonna throw in and do a "big batch." I've also got a guy that wants his SBC center bolt valve covers satin black now that he saw my bracket! Cool! After spending LOTS of time with this thing, I may actually have a paying job!

I had a friend that powder coated my motorcycle wheels with the Eastwood kit. Turned out really nice and held up over time. Here is a good tip for someone that finds the oven is too small, do what he did. Take the "guts" out of an oven and put them including the knobs, into your own box. He used angle iron to built the frame, then screwed concrete board to it. The entire front was on hinges and opened up for loading parts into it. The oven was too small for wheels and such but this homebuilt oven worked great.
