Re: rear end stuck in the air

I cut the shock mount off and relocated it to the top of the frame. then I cut the bump stops off. 6 years on the road every day. rides nice. the issue I had was shocks that would be short enough. the ones that were on it only had 1/2" of travel left. then at an inch the bump stop would limit travel.

Re: rear end stuck in the air

got this from a previous post hope this helps. this is a 3" drop front and 5" drop rear

You can go the Monroe Monro-Matic Plus route:

Fronts: 33033 or 1"shorter#37187

[67-86 C15/C1500 Pickup;;66-86 C25/C2500 Pickup;;67-86 C35/C3500 Pickup;;87 R1500 Pickup;;87-89 R2500 Pickup;;87-91 R3500 Pickup] Monro-Matic Plus Shock Absorber;;Economical Price;;Ideal Balance Of Comfort And Control

Front- Monroe 33033
Rear- Monroe 32301
Monro-Matics have a great deal of travel over other shocks 10.0 inches collapsed

The KYB's 6" rear drop are part # 344067

you dont need drop shocks with just a 2" coildrop in the front, most front shocks will fit rear up to 5"drop

Front stock=Extended Length: 15.00 in.
Collapsed Length: 9.95 in.
Stroke: 5.03 in (mount @ 12.5")

Rear stock length=Extended Length: 20.48 in.
Collapsed Length: 12.62 in.
Stroke: 7.86 in ( mount @ 16.5")

Rears: 31000

87 Toyota Pickup Series Rear Monroe Monro-Matic Plus Shock Absorber-31000
