I have something similar that a friend and I built from oak plywood years ago. Mine isn't nearly as pretty as yours, though. I used one of these adjustable cupholders one of these adjustable cupholders on the front of it so that I could fit my giant insulated 32 ounce mug into it.

whoa, whoa...i'll take that as a compliment. on the upholstery you got me beat by a 19 yrs as this was my first try, i am more of a wood working guy...

I've already started building some to see how it goes.

It was me not wanting to wait to buy me a small drill that could fit in the box to attach the latch, so what I did I made the hole to stick the drill bit through. I don't so that any more. It was my first one.

I hope he doesnt mind but I must post pics

Its a near perfect fit and the only reason i think its not perfect is because I have extra foam in my re-done bench...Its fits snug the way its built and doesnt move when pushing on it and what not...Also fit perfectly in the center spot where my bench design is in the middle
