Re: Restored tach gauge rear tin.
Ok, found one, problem is, it is attached to a NOS tach. Do you still want to do the work...
Thanks for helping me out with parts for the SW Speedo

Re: Restored tach gauge rear tin.
PT, are there supposed to be dash lights inside the tach housing, circuit board sure looks like it
Tach face got bent in transit, can you take it apart and bend flat without damaging face paint? Check out the amazing job Les did on the stamping, fits like a glove...

Re: Restored tach gauge rear tin.
Jim till this day I have not been able to come up with a correct answer on the two holes in the tach circuit board. It does appear that there should be light sockets there and I have thought about taking two and trying it but have been scared that it may damage a good tach. I am sure if GM wanted them there then they would be installed in the holes. Maybe it was one of their bright ideas then found out that it would not work due to heat issues or something like that. Another GM mystery. If you want to send me the whole tach to re stamp the back then I will gladly take a look at the face for you and see what I can do with it. Could you take a good pic of where it is bent.
And last, yes Les is the man and his work is second to none. He is a asset to the board and we as members here need to be thankful that we have him as a resource for doing these tin mods. PT

Re: Restored tach gauge rear tin.
These can be done in your choice of 6 cyl. or 8 cyl. and your choice of Rust-Oleum seafoam green or Krylon satin jade. Most folks are starting to use the Krylon because the Rust-Oleum does not dry well. Price $35.00 shipped with your usable core.
